Evie stands watch, next to the bed.
Jacob lies, still and sleeping, underneath the stark white sheets. He breaths in rhythmically, slowly. Nearly silently. The nurses say that its a good sign - that if he were struggling to regain his health, it would be shown in his breathing. Evie doubts as much, but Henry continues to tell her to trust in the nurses, in the doctors. Jacob should be dead, after all.
