Summary
A dramatic re-telling of the story of Fire Emblem Fates, written as I would have done so while maintaining most of the foundational details. Will be a larger deviation from the canon story the further it goes, telling the story of a 'golden route' like Revelations but due to my criticisms of that story, will go in different directions and will include more Awakening characters, combining elements of the DLC with my own ideas.

Summary
After their defeat at the hands of the Kingdom of Nohr, the Hoshidan royal family is held captive by King Garon in his fortress at the heart of the capital of Windmire.
Here, the Hoshidan royal family and their retainers are imprisoned and made to suffer.
It is not known where the rest of the Hoshidan Royal Family and it's entourage are being held, or even if they are still alive, but hope runs deep in Hoshidan hearts and they are not ones to break so easily.

Summary
Kana wants her family back - her whole family. Her body shakes with the heavy realization that she’ll never have it - that her mother and Shigure have been gone for a long time. She’d considered her father her entire world when she chose not to leave with them, and now that was more true than her 7-year-old self could ever have imagined.
That world was in danger, now; corrupted by a source long thought to be dead. Flora had her own designs for Kana’s role in purifying her father, and Kana trusts her, but she has her doubts that he’ll come out unscathed on the other side - and she knows deep down that that’s the last thing the rest of her family would have wanted.
If she can’t save her whole family, the least she can do is try her best to save the only family she has left - and to do that, she’ll need more than Flora’s word on what’s going on.
A steely cool settles over her as she realizes she’ll have to take matters into her own hands.

Summary
In a world where humans can freely volunteer themselves to the vampire clans in exchange for food and protection, Corrin finds herself contemplating the choice as her village teeters on starvation after a bad rain season. But as the vampire clans' battles make their way closer, the choice is made for her as her village is attacked and her mother killed.
Choosing to volunteer herself to the Dusk clan to find answers for the attack, she doesn't know what's to come of her, or if she'll even live. But the royal family is always given first choice over volunteers to do with as they please, a privilege the younger prince, Leo, has never taken any interest in. While he has never taken a volunteer before, he stuns his court as he is drawn to and chooses Corrin for himself.
Unsure of what this means for her, she tries to balance her focus on finding the answers she seeks, her newfound role as a vampire prince's consort, and her questioning of why she's finding herself longing for his affections. -
