Charlie Brown, a mentally unstable teen, has to get over his ex-boyfriend, Schroeder. Through his entire life, Charlie hasn’t had it easy. It calls himself a loser, kids at school so as well. He eats in the bathroom alone. Matt and Shermy push him around, Linus and Sally are very active at all times, Lucy let the fame go to her head, Marcie and Peppermint Patty are dating and won’t let anyone third wheel, which leaves Charlie to be the one that doesn’t have anything to his name.

After a fallout in 6th grade, Lucy and Schroeder haven't communicated since. will it change now?

Lucy’s a singer in this, not a professional one, yet, maybe. But she gets asked to perform in bars and stuff, she’s pretty good, actually.
I feel like I need to add this, LOL. It’s 2025, the world’s changing fast, AI taking over. It’s a problem. I’ve got accusations of using AI. Just because I use em dashes and Oxford commas, and I lowkey sound like AI at times. I promise, I’m not using AI!! It’s tough out here for the people that use these types of things haha

Nine years after Lucy moved away from California, her dad reveals shocking news. They’re moving back. She’s shocked, nervous, and confused, but has to push through and finish school as a graduate of the 1969 class.
Over the summer, Schroeder was put out of business. No piano for 2 months, doctors orders. It seriously blows. What’s he gonna do now with his free time? How will this affect his future? Also, why is Lucy van Pelt in his life again? More over, why is her little brother interested in becoming his student? 1968-1969 is going to be one hell of a year.

“Now she was standing in the cold, walking towards the bus station. Snow had fallen, after a warm autumn, and she couldn’t see too well in the dark. In her handbag she kept a small flashlight and she lightened herself the way. No one else was there, and the realization gave her a feeling of uncertainty, like a small pinch into her stomach. As the bus arrived, she handed the driver nickels and received no change. Then she sat down and drove 20 minutes until the bus arrived at the station next to her home, and Lucy struck through the snow masses onto her good old front porch. She was almost expecting to see a baseball bat lying there, or some loose dogfood for Charlie Browns Old dog. She wondered about Charlie Browns dog, Snoopy. He might be dead, she thought to herself in a neutral manner, that would be quite depressing. Especially for Charles.”
The gang is in their 20s. Lucy is a lonely college student in Washington, Schroeder plays Jazz in New York but still prefers Beethoven to John Coltrane. Charlie Brown is in college and has a girlfriend he resents. Patty and Marcy are queers. It’s Christmas again.

Summary
Convinced that anyone else would have a chance of dating Schroeder if they acted perfectly, Lucy devotes herself to leaving him aside to focus on herself, but her agony grows to the point where she decides to look for a girl who will agree to try to win Schroeder and prove that, in fact, his problem is only with her.
Meanwhile, Heather has just returned to the town she studied during her childhood, excited to reconnect with Charlie Brown, the sweet boy she was dating when, suddenly, finds herself being dumped by text without any explanation before even seeing him in person.
Obviously, the two of them intertwine. Oh, and the plan WASN'T Heather's, what a terrible idea!
