Summary
Stories have been told of Leviathan, the Lost Eikon. It was curious how, in a time known as the War of the Eikons, there was one Eikon that was mysteriously absent from the conflict. Some believed that Leviathan abandoned the world, believing that it had grown too poisoned with the sins of man. Others posited that she was dead, her bloodline of Dominants wiped from the face of the earth.
They were both wrong.
Leviathan was not gone. Or dead. Merely... waiting.
Ahma Shiomi is from the archipelago off the southern continent. After years of watching her homeland succumb to war and the Blight, she decided to take fate into her own hands and set sail for Valisthea. If only she knew that with this one decision, she would change the course of history forever. For in her blood sleeps a power that will shake Valisthea to its core.
And thus did our journey begin...
(Note: This story was written before The Rising Tide DLC was revealed. This is my own original take on Leviathan).

His father had told him how he'd chosen a young merchant's daughter, and how much that single night had meant to him. Fire, blood, and crystal— it was all that engulfed her senses before she died, and when she awoke, Etro found herself in the care of yet another secret order, one dedicated to an all-powerful flamebird. Entrapped through debt, she finds herself bound to a bookish man devoted to a mysterious search on the occult. Etro is forced on a journey with the man, Margrace, and his attendant, Jote, but notices murmured secrets they hide, a sloppy attempt to pretend he isn't someone of importance. Still, in the end, who he is and what they want matters naught to her.
Etro has one purpose alone: life for a life, and no Order, no debt, no Branded or Dominant would keep her from it. She would be free even if it meant slitting Margrace's throat to start her bloody vengeance.

It seemed at first that nothing they’d done mattered. Nothing seemed to be able to divert fate from its grand design. Eikons fell, the Blight quickened, all went according to their puppeteer’s plan. In the aftermath of the night of Bahamut's wrath on Twinside, Joshua, Jill, and Clive take a moment of respite in the dark of the Hideaway.
It was a random conversation, on a random night, brought on by exhaustion and a desperate need to simply focus on something besides how the world around them seemed to be crumbling to pieces. Until a simple question that no one except these Dominants would have thought to ask turned everything on its head.
