As they start to learn these two's past, they realize things are a lot more complicated than it seems.

You waited even after the soft thuds of footsteps slowly faded into the night. You waited until you were sure there were no more skeletons lurking in your bedroom.
You sat up from your bed, a worn out expression came over you. There was a burning sensation on your back, and yet you know if you were to check it with a mirror, there would be nothing there.
