Dib quer saber o motivo dele ser um investigador paranormal tão ruim. No fim da sua busca, ele acaba encontrando algo que não queria saber sobre seu nascimento que faz com que ele mude seus interesses.
Isso também muda sua dinâmica com Zim.
Zim percebe que tem algo estranho com Dib, mais estranho que o normal. Isso incomoda o irken e prejudica sua missão para dominar a Terra, então ele precisa fazer algo sobre isso.
Esse problema entre os dois acaba culminando em algo gigantesco.

Dib always knew aliens were real. Problem is, nobody else did. The announcement of the Area 51 raid seemed to be the answer to his prayers. When it turns out to be a big music festival/seriously-unfunny-joke, he’s disappointed but undeterred. Sneaking in yields better results anyway, allowing him to make off with an alien. Which he promptly agrees to take on a road trip to Washington D.C.
