Shiro steps forward a bit more, placing a hand on Keith’s shoulder, which seems to be one of the more neutral places on his body to touch. He quickly realizes his mistake, feeling himself begin to slick up at the feeling of Keith’s quiet, solid strength underneath his palm. “It means a lot to me that you thought that much about me,” Shiro says, trying to sound somewhat normal and not at all sultry.
A deep flush is spreading across Keith’s face. “I...I thought about you a lot,” he admits quietly.

He's away from his books and doing something other than studying or hitting the gym, and that means he's being a part of society. He'll down a few drinks, avoid a bunch of alphas, and go home. Easy peasy. Only it turns out that a certain gorgeous alpha named Keith is also attending the party (damn you, Matt), and Shiro is finally forced to do more than simply stare at his crush from across campus and pretend that constitutes a lovelife.

P.A.C.T stands for Pack Acceptance Celebration (and) Training. Keith hates that the name makes him laugh. It’s so Pidge, caught somewhere between being completely serious and completely ridiculous.
“Why isn’t the acronym P.A.C.K.?” Allura asks. Keith puts his face in his hands, here we go.
“Because there aren’t any good K words, and a ‘pact’ is an agreement which is closer to what we’re coming to.” Pidge’s glasses shimmer in the low light, “It’s a pact to be a pack.”
“I can think of some good K words,” Hunk jumps in, “Pack Acceptance Celebration Kickoff, then you don’t need an ‘and,’ or maybe something with ‘Kindness?’” He says, overemphasizing each ‘K’ sound. Keith thinks it sounds like he’s hacking up a lung.
“What about something with Knot?” Lance jumps in, smirking. Keith groans.
Shiro struggles through a full body blush, “How about Pack Acceptance Celebration and—KNOCK it off and listen to Pidge?”

“Wait." Keith pauses his angry scrubbing and turns his full attention back to Shiro. "Is that the exact wording of the law?”
“Yeah,” Shiro nods, then thinks better of it as the movement combined with his large intake of alcohol decides to make the world around him spin in an unnatural fashion. “It’s written exactly like that. There is no way for me to get out of getting married if I want to be leader of the pack.”
“Well, yeah… But it didn’t say you had to marry an Alpha.” Keith states it in a matter of fact tone like it’s the most obvious thing in the word.
