Summary
No one tended to pass through the old path nowadays; the one that leads to where the river meets the open sea, where the terrain is unstable for a village to build a steady foundation on or anyone to really make a living off the land here. It was a home of wild things, where it's rumored some nukenin of Kirigakure reside since those living in the main village are uninterested in the land.
Which made it the perfect home for the current wielder of Samehada-and the successor to the beastly blade.
