Summary
Zia has spent her whole life running. From her past. From her enemies. From the parts of herself she refuses to acknowledge.
Republic City was supposed to be her fresh start—a place to disappear in the chaos, to finally be free. But staying in the shadows isn’t as easy as she hoped.
The city is on the brink of war, and no matter how hard she tries to keep her distance, she keeps getting pulled into a battle that isn’t hers.
She never meant to get involved. She never meant to stand at anyone’s side. But avoiding the spotlight is difficult when you’re teaming with the Avatar.
The past doesn’t let go so easily.
And if Zia isn’t careful, it will destroy everything she’s built—including the one person she never expected to care about.

Summary
“Do you want to know the most important part, Asami?” The merriment tone from the laughter died down into a hushed question.
“What is it?”
Korra leaned in, whispering into her ear. “You’re the same person that loves me, and I think there’s nothing more beautiful than that.”
“Oh.” The confession causes a surge of weakness in her knees— perhaps in all of her joints if she thought about it for a second longer. The steely walls of fear, and the barriers of insecurity melt, akin to Korra’s embers being steadily applied to the stubborn defenses.
“Yeah...”

NOTE: This is a canon-adjacent rewrite of the Legend of Korra
Korra is stubborn yet ambitious young avatar who has lived a secluded life trapped away in the south pole. This is stops when Korra decides to run away to the renowned Republic City to continue her air bending training. Korra is met with new challenges as she’s faced with the reality of a new extremist group and a new set of friends. Through all of this Korra meets the well-known Asami Sato who completely throws Korra off balance. This is my fun little take on season 1 (maybe more) if Korrasami was canon, and secondly if they kept asami as a equalist. I'll add more as a write more. Feedback is nice : )

Summary
Team Avatar investigates corrupted spirits and tries to stop a world war.
______________
The look of exhaustion on Asami’s face made Korra hesitate. The engineer had been through a harrowing ordeal. “You need rest, and here I am still talking.”
“Yes, but I’m here. I can still listen,” Asami insisted.
“I know…” That tugged at Korra’s heart, and she suddenly wanted to weep. The day had caught up with her: the visions, the cave, the portal, the dark spirits that still fought humans, her uncle’s actions, and her father keeping the truth from her. How could so many things happen in the span of two days? She looked at Asami, and again the engineer had that patient look on her face, where she waited for Korra to speak. Waited with never-ending patience it seemed. That was too much for her to handle.
“No, you need rest. I’ll be back early tomorrow morning.” Korra pushed herself to her feet.
Asami looked worried. “Okay.”
Korra rushed out of the house, unable to bear being present with someone who seemed to see her in a way that frightened her.

Summary
Korra promptly joined her on the couch, laid Asami’s legs across her lap, and got to work unlacing her boots. Once removed, she drew some water from the air and pressed it against Asami’s feet, charging it with healing energies and providing instant relief. Asami had to bite her lip to prevent herself from making an undignified sound.
“How does that feel?” Korra asked with a dangerously husky whisper.
Asami obviously couldn’t risk opening her mouth, given the circumstances, so she eked out a soft, “Mmhmm.” She hoped that would pass for vaguely positive feedback, and would not be interpreted correctly as the pathetic whimper of a defeated woman.

Summary
Korra looked up to make sure their conversation was still private, and once satisfied, made an attempt at the trick she had been practicing for hours. She subtly condensed some water from the air into her palm, and gingerly fashioned it into a flawless ice rose.
She couldn’t really pin down the emotion on Asami’s face, but Korra was pretty sure she was impressed. “Neat, huh?”
Asami nodded faintly in reply, still transfixed by her handiwork. Having successfully demonstrated her finesse, Korra tossed the rose off the side of the boat and into the water.
“What did you do that for!?” Asami shouted.

“Are you an angel?” Korra accidentally slurs through the haze of painkillers. The other girl lets out a bright laugh as she smiles down at her, eyes twinkling magically.
