You are bound to The Batter for no apparent reason, just by some fucked-up string of fate. He is always somewhere near you, randomly, and he has always had a confusing obsession with "Purifying" you. It is NOT pure. It is NOT clean NOR holy. It is quite the OPPOSITE.
Batter catches and rapes reader, using religious-ish speak to describe what he's doing, but you (nor I) can decode his meanings behind it.
