Summary
Hermione Granger spent the last seventeen years focused on her job. The Golden Trio has grown apart, and as everyone around her moves on to marry and have children, Hermione is feeling pressured. She begins to question why she has never prioritized a relationship. With time running out to find an effective treatment for a disease affecting war veterans, Hermione travels to Chicago to meet another researcher and visit her parents over the Christmas holidays.
After the war, a presumed dead Severus Snape, established a life in Chicago. He runs a successful business and has made friends in both the muggle and magical sides of Chicago. When he arrives for the annual Wilkins' holiday party, he sees the familiar face of his old student, Hermione Granger.
