An AU where Metsuboujinrai has taken over the world, but Jin had convinced Horobi to make Humagears the dominant race without killing all the humans. Humans now live in the place of Humagears, doing all the jobs that Humagears were built to do. Humagears now live freely, following their dreams, while humans live and work in terrible conditions. Naki controls the thoughts of all the Humagears, feeding them a narrative that this is how it's meant to be.
Within an upgraded Metsuboujinrai base, all of our main protagonist characters are forced to work with the enemy. Aruto has been heavily restrained and isolated from everyone in the base, to prevent an uprising as much as possible. Fuwa, using his position as a security guard, visits Aruto every day to bring him food. Slowly, with each passing day, the two of them work together to tear the system down from the inside. Eventually, they recruit the other protagonists into their cause, but it'll take a lot to convince them. All of this, while avoiding drawing the suspicion of Metsuboujinrai.
