Summary
Months ago, the Federation gave up trying to wrangle their parents and kidnapped them. Chayanne is the only reason they weren’t taken again. For months now, they’ve been on the run and on their own, hiding from the Feds.
A month ago, they found the location of their parents. The old Spawn. Pomme has the coords of Baghera’s old castle which means now they have to travel the two hundred thousand blocks back to the Federation’s waiting arms.
Aka; AU where the finale doesn’t happen and the Federation kidnaps the Residents instead. Now the kids have to get along and find their parents again. They aren’t doing well.
(Inspired by the songs Lost! and the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie theme. No, I will no elaborate.)

He’s used to being able to protect them, keep watch, and overall being the one in control in some sense… but there’s nothing he can do to protect her from the Hunger Games.

Cellbit is seventeen, he’s lived through plenty of reapings in his lifetime but he still feels the fear strike him like its the first time every year. He knows that out of every child entered, no one would care if he was chosen. In fact they’d be relieved.He’s used to it, doesn’t make it hurt any less but he’s come to live with the fact. Its like how the sky is blue and the grass is (usually) green: no one cares about Cellbit.

Summary
The Federation was testing El then, but it's clear they've grown tired of the parasites that are the E.G.G.s, even if the islanders have welcomed them into their homes like fools.
He doesn't know exactly what's being done, most of the current plans made over his head and out of earshot, but he knows they're going to involve him in the next stage of it.
Something like satisfaction swirls in his chest.
El's finally proven himself to the Federation, proven that he knows the truth and isn't being swayed by the E.G.G.s, and they're going to let him help in their plan to finally rid the island once and for all from the super-powered monsters they made.
(or: the E.G.G.s have superpowers. this, surprisingly, is only the beginning of El's problems.)

"Cmon, Gegg. They'll love you."
Quackity said, encouraging the shy little green boy. He rubbed the top of his head before slmumbling something in Spanish to himself, sighing before nudging him forwards towards the group.

He shakes his head, wiping his newfound tears. "Listen, Lullah, we have this entire house to ourselves for a month." Tallulah winces, and Chayanne does by extension. He continues. "We can form a band by then. If you still feel icky about it, we can disband in July."
The lines are already connecting. Tallulah can handle the technical stuff and Chayanne can continue to rattle off his drums and they can make music here, in their safe haven, just like they used to.
"A one month band?" She blinks. "We can't do much."
Chayanne reaches for her hand, smoothing out the tension deep within her fingers. As if he could dissipate years of worrying, of waiting and watching for someone long adrift. The answer should be simple.
"We can make music."

Maybe he’s the one who’s broken. Leo had a period where he couldn’t look at the Ocean without holding a totem, but he was back to fishing after a therapy session with Roier. His father made it a habit to kill any whales upon witnessing them, but he never talked about the incident anymore. Everyone is forgetting about Leo, just like they did Tilin and Juannaflipa. The whole world seemed to be a gear set in continual motion. He needed to catch up– no, he must catch up, or else it might malfunction.
