Summary
Martin is a blacksmith. A quiet man with rough hands and too much silence. He’s lived alone at the edge of town, counting strikes against the anvil, naming all his favourite tools.
Then, a boy washes up on his doorstep during a tempest. Martin takes him in.
The boy is beautiful. Barefoot. Unsettlingly kind. He listens to the forge fire like it’s singing. He's curious. Strange. Also, possibly a god.
Martin does not have time for any of this, or for feelings, or the sudden all-consuming urge to be known. In fact, he tries very hard not to care, which works right up until the boy starts smiling at him like he hung the very cosmos, touching everything like it’s hallowed, and sleeping at the foot of his wingback like a stray cat. There’s tragic history Martin won’t talk about, a temple that won’t stay quiet, and a wish the boy doesn’t remember (until he does).

Ari didn’t know which possibility was worse: that they had forgotten everyone who had ever been important to them, or that they might not have ever had friends like this at all.
It's one of many questions that plagues Ari after they wake up on a strange spell circle in unfamiliar forest with a maybe-stranger's bag and no memories. But before they can even attempt to piece together what happened to them, Ari has to help a little girl find her missing mother.
Ari is my nonbinary version of RF5's player character. This work is a prequel about how Ari settled into their new life in Rigbarth before the events of Who Remembers a God.

After a year of amnesia and the end of the world resting in her palms, one wouldn't think Haven had the time to find romance in the small village of Rigbarth. Life was a chaotic bout of monster slaying and convincing the locals that nothing was going wrong. Yet, at the end of so many days, Haven would find herself staring up at her ceiling and daydreaming about the one man who unknowingly kept her sane. In the lulls between battle, she'd take care of him, but her romantic gestures forever fell by the wayside. Was there any way she could get Murakumo to change from friend to lover?

Another fic where Ares getting hurt is a major plot point!
He gets orders from Simone to take a break from SEED for two weeks to let an ankle injury heal, but luckily for him Murakumo offers him a temporary job at the inn to help him out with an upcoming busy week, a welcomed offer for Ares to stave off boredom.
After a few days Murakumo starts acting weird, though, and Misasagi seems to be implying something that Ares just can't quite put his finger on.
