    This is a series made out of a one shot I've decided to expand on.

    In this AU, 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 (including Nighteye, Grand Torino, Nedzu and Bakugou) knows about One for All.

    The One for All users have been able to communicate with one another through the void, as well as possess each other's bodies and see each other's ghosts since way before Izuku.
    And the possession was one of the powers developed through One for All since around Kudou and Bruce's time.

    Another thing is that they've been able to use each other's quirks before Izuku as well and have been doing a lot of experiments throughout the generations, so a lot of the quirk combinations created by Izuku in canon have actually been created by the previous users here — like Black chain being created by Banjo instead, because he already had access to both Fa-Jin and Gearshift back when he was alive in this AU.

    Izuku feels as though his ligaments are being slowly pried off his skeleton. Dissected, like a frog in junior high biology. Beady eyes of cruel students watching as an incision is made, revealing red, deep like a ruby.

     

    Each bone and joint in his body aches with the weight of existence, weak from previous injury.

     

    Now, curled in bed at god knows what hour, he wants to cry, not just from the pain, but the knowledge that it will always be there. It’s not like he didn’t take Recovery Girl’s words seriously, it’s just that the situations were life or death. Looking back, though, sometimes he wishes he had just chosen death.

    One Izuku Midoriya will finally come to amends with his mentor and find a huge truth he should have been told months ago. This one truth will shift all the trust he had gained in his mentor since he met him. That trust he had is just a murmur of what it was originally and an even smaller whisper of what it was when he was younger.

    The trust in one person is something that should be carefully attended too and is just like a string. Once the string snaps, there is no going back.

He's been aware of this since the moment he crouched down in front of the boy and let him press their palms together. Now Toshinori is impossibly smitten and determined to heal Izuku the same way he helped heal him, no matter what challenges jump in the way. He'll protect and build him up no matter what. For his son, nothing is ever too much.

    Of course, he never claimed to think fatherhood to be easy going in. He just... hadn't thought it would make him want to Detroit Smash some cocky brat named 'Kacchan' through a wall either.

    Or: Izuku heals All Might on a whim and gets himself a new, (extremely overprotective) dad in the process.
