Summary
Harper received a letter that would upheaval her city life and end her long-term relationship with her drunk hookup. In her childhood she spent a couple days a month escaping to her grandpa's farm amidst her parents divorce. She fell in love. She loved the farm, the trees, the smell of grass in the spring, something the city life just couldn't give her. Maybe a change of scenery is exactly what she needed.
Sam has found himself dreaming of a big-city escape, working his dead-end job at the Joja store in town wasn't as fulfilling as advertised. Pelican town was the embodiment of a lack of opportunity for Sam. Torn between living his life to the fullest and staying in town to emotionally support his mom and brother while his dad fought overseas, he needed a tip in the right direction. Which direction, you ask?
I guess we'll find out together.
