The divan cushions dipped as Hua Chengzhu sat beside him. His arm brushed against He Xuan’s as he reached for another jug. Taking the one from Fu Gu, the cap was removed and Hua Chengzhu tasted it. He Xuan watched him from ther corner of his eye, uncertain. Kingly, Hua Cheng let the wine’s taste settle on his tongue before delivering his verdict. “You are correct, I find. This wine is disgustingly disappointing.” He calmly flung it from his hand, and the jug hit the ground a foot in front of the table, cracking. Wine spilled from it, staining across the carpet.
