This is the Story of Aürē the Mirror-Breaker, one of the founding myths of the Children, told by one of the Venerable Adults. This recitation took place on Crow's Night (Winter Solstice) at the solstice fire before the Mirror of Mirrors, in the Adult's workshop at the Sacred Lands.
Aürē is revered as the First Adult and the First Child, the one who brought together the people.
The four peoples—the Children of the Sea, the Children of the Chaparral, the Children of the Mountains and the Children of the Desert—return to the Sacred Lands, the ruins of Disneyland which have become the cultural hub for the survivors of a mysterious event that wiped out most of the population, for major holidays and festivals throughout year. These celebrations and ceremonies are led by the Venerable Adults and their acolytes, caretakers of the Sacred Lands.
