Summary
Lizard creatures have seized control of some of the world’s most powerful billionaires, and their plans for domination are already in motion.
Alfred Kirkland, a restless UCLA student running mostly on caffeine and bad decisions, stumbles onto evidence he was never meant to see, and records it. Now he’s on the run, armed only with a backpack, a phone, and a dangerous curiosity that refuses to quit.
Reluctantly joining him is Ivan Braginsky, a Russian scientist whose quiet life of research didn’t exactly prepare him for monsters, conspiracies, or back-to-back gas station dinners. Together, they’re forced onto a cross-country race against time; bickering at every stop, and having to survive each new threat side by side.
If they fail, America may collapse. If they falter, the world may follow. And if they hesitate for even a moment, they risk something worse than death: becoming one of the creatures they’re fighting to stop.
