"I hope in your next life, you get to make a few friends...," Malroth prepared his hammer to slice the ghost of Hargon in half.
"Making friends? Building for FUN? The thought makes me wretch!" Hargon laughed as he was then finally destroyed for good by the very being he claimed to worship. As the cult leader vanished, he ended with a smirk.

Getting kidnapped and stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean heading towards your inevitable doom is enough to wear most people down. But maybe, just maybe, it would all be bearable, if it wasn't for the fact that there were obnoxious monsters at every turn who couldn't decide whether they want to be threatening or take jibes at the builder at his every turn. On his way to the foot of Hargon, the builder, Zion, is given some time to think. Despite the dramatic cultural changes that have rocked this world over the past 1000 years, Zion had believed that a time of peace was nigh, and it was only a matter of time before Hargon was laid low. Now, he wasn't so sure. From broken alliances to shipwreck survivals, and maybe even a little romance on the side, it was clear Hargon had a plan all along, and he could only hope it wasn't too late to stop him.

Summary
For a while, the town was peaceful. Traders would come through and bring wealth to the bright streets. And in grass patches played children. However, it was quick to devolve into chaos.
They had appeared. The Children of Hargon. They would destroy anything in sight for the honor and name of their late Lord. Those who failed to do as they say were killed for their disobedience.
Builders, people who made towns and everything in them, quickly became enemies and deemed dangerous by the Children. Anyone who made anything was imprisoned and eventually executed for their Lord.
For one pair of builders, it was devastating to be imprisoned. Together, they had had a child, one they raised to embrace the creativity of creation. When they had been captured and led to their deaths, their child had been taken from them. That child, despite their inexperience and innate instincts to obey, was taken away as well.
And so, on a ship traveling to the far reaches of another continent was where that child found themselves. Filled with despair and homesickness, this child tries to make peace with the Children who held them captive only to be thrown into a whole new world. -
