Summary
It's been twelve years since Arieth laid down her weapons and walked away from the Tenno. The war was long over, the system still broken, and she'd lost the only person who made it bearable—a fellow Tenno who never came back from their last mission. Since then, she's learned to survive the old-fashioned way: one job, one breath, one lie at a time.
But when the Narmer cult begins to spread its veiled gospel across the stars, Arieth's carefully built life starts to unravel. The Lotus reappears, leading a desperate effort to stop Ballas — the gilded god who destroyed everything Arieth once was. And though every instinct in her screams to run, she finds herself drawn back into the war she tried to forget.
Because when the past calls her by her name, even ghosts have to answer.
