Summary
There are moments in life when you are in desperate need of some kind of source that fulfills your wishes; a golden lamp that you can rub, a fountain into which you can throw coins, it doesn't matter, Alec is too desperate to be picky. Because he's in one of these situations right now. A good hour before his very first book reading and his publisher expects him to attend this event with a boyfriend which of course he does not have to show.
Sometimes an ordinary coffee shop in New York is such a magical place, at least when Magnus Bane is one of the customers.
