Tim figured that since he was banned from basically everything Robin due to the new menace known as Red Hood, that heading to Titan's Tower and indulging some old photography habits would at least keep him entertained. He certainly wasn't expecting someone to break into Titan's Tower. He most definitely wasn't expecting that someone to be Red Hood and maybe the most surprising of all... he was not expecting Red Hood to apparently know him. Well... to know the night time bird photography Alvin Draper anyway but all things considered, he was willing to roll with it.

Tim had been trying to hold it in but… Jason was scowling at him in mock anger and… it was kind of funny how indignant he had gotten instantly. Tim tucked his head closer. “Alright…”
“Little shit!” A hand clamped onto the back of his neck, shaking him back and forth a bit. “Here I am, pouring all my protective big brother rage out and you’re snickering. You know what, you know what!?”
By the time the waitress braved checking in on them, Jason had Tim in a half headlock while Tim wheezed and tried to squirm away from the onslaught of noogying and tickling. Jason, being mean , didn’t even let Tim recover while he ordered shakes for the both of them.

Summary
After Bruce learned that Jason had revenge sex with one of his exes, he wanted to make sure said ex wasn't a threat to his son or anyone else's children. Since Jason wouldn't tell him who she was, Tim agreed to look into it for him.
Which is how the boy finds himself sitting face to face with Talia al Ghul as they have a discussion that brings up the most recent worst moments in each of their lives. He gets answers, but is left with some painful questions as well.

Danny hummed to himself, the saccharine melody a stark contrast to the grimy brick walls of the Gotham alley. The sour tang of garbage and ozone from his own fried core warred along with the thick, metallic scent of blood filled the air. His hands slick with something he refused to identify.
"You look like shit, man." The voice from the helmet was mechanically distorted, but the dry tone was clear. The man’s head tilted. "Can you tell me why you are trying to dress up as a trash can?"
Danny blinked slowly, the adrenaline high finally, blessedly, beginning to ebb. The pain was becoming a distant, roaring thing. Peaceful, almost.
He met the blank gaze of the helmet, his own eyes wide and unnervingly calm. "My organs fell out…" he stated, his voice disturbingly even. He gestured weakly with a crimson-coated hand toward the ruin of his midsection. "Don't have skin anymore."

He knows exactly what it’s like to lose someone he loves.
Like a father. Like a mother.
Like an adopted son.
It was always like this. Any time Bruce saw Jason, he always looked the same way he had when Bruce found him in that abandoned wing of Arkham. Broken, scared, and in pain. Bruce must’ve seen the vision at least a hundred times, and it never got any easier. This wasn’t how Jason deserved to be remembered. He was so much more than what Joker had done to him.
Bruce had let go of his hopes for a happy ending a long time ago. Even if the Insurgency managed to kill Superman, it wouldn't bring his son back. But when new information suggests Jason could be alive again, it's so hard not to hope.
OR
What Jason Todd’s resurrection might’ve looked like in the Snyderverse if Bruce was a Good Dad, Slade was good but not good good, and Roy Harper was involved like he deserved to be. (No Snyderverse knowledge needed to enjoy!!)

Even if the original way of things included hurting his family. Making mistakes he would forever regret and never be able to make up for. Become a presence that brought a lot of hurt with it.
Even if he had spent countless nights in his bed, thinking about changing everything from the beginning.
The first and most important rule to time-travel was not to change anything.
So, of course, Jason elected to ignore that rule and change everything.
