Summary
“Get closer, Dustin,” urged Steve, watching as Dustin stepped in a tiny bit and how an equally as small smile flickered briefly across his lips. Unsatisfied with the distance, Steve took his turn and took a step closer, saying, “A little closer. Haven’t you learnt anything from previous dances?” Steve chided and Dustin rolled his eyes affectionately.
“Now,” Steve began as they swayed gently from side to side, “tell me why you were sitting there all alone?”
Dustin sighed and shut his eyes briefly, “The arseholes left me behind again.” Dustin admitted while trying to keep his focus on Steve’s chest and not his eyes. He might just implode.
Steve made a noise of frustration that made Dustin finally let his eyes travel up. God, he looked divine in the blue lighting. “Even Will?” Dustin nodded, “Those little shits. I’ll kill ‘em.” Obviously, he didn’t mean it, but Steve had found that he’d do anything for Dustin. If you die, I die, right? Those words still stuck with him even after all these years.
