Simon tutted gently, stepping closer, the gravel crunching softly beneath his boots. He reached out slowly, gently catching John’s chin with careful fingers, tilting his face back up until their gazes locked again. "I like when you look at me."
John's breath caught sharply, chest tightening with anticipation. He leaned unconsciously into Simon's touch, eyes wide, earnest, searching for confirmation. "You flirt with all your students like this, or…?"
Simon laughed quietly, a soft, honest sound, thumb brushing tenderly along John's jawline, igniting another fiery burst of heat within his gut. "No," Simon confessed gently, his voice deepening into something earnest, vulnerable. "It's a line I haven't crossed—until you."

Fucking hell what was he even doing? He wasn’t a model. Who wanted to look at an ex-soldier going on 40? And not even a particularly fit one at that.
He sucked his belly in and flexed, feeling like an idiot. Like this, though, he looked a lot like he did in the SAS. Maybe that’d fool the artist?

When Simon took a job as a police officer following his honorable discharge from the military he never would have assume anything particularly fantastic would happen. He never would have assume anything really, but becoming a security guard for his small hometown college was that absolute /last/ thing he would have thought of. It was easy which was a nice change of pace. Something simple to off set long horrid missions that left his blood pumping loudly in his ears for weeks at a time.
He also would have never assumed he would meet the absolute most talkative Scottish brat on campus. Or that, that same Scottish brat would come barreling towards him smile plastered to his face everyday. And he too damn socially awkward to say anything about it, besides sometimes it pulls a smile to his lip and Simon has a hard time pinpointing how exactly that makes him feel.

Soap leveled the phone, not thinking twice when he snapped a picture and sent it off. Ghost would like that, seeing him in an outfit he’d bought for Soap, in the gym he paid for.

Soap blinked, confused by the text. He thumbed open the image, tapping twice to enlarge it. Holy fuck. He supposed he'd never noticed /just/ how tiny these shorts were.

He’s young, Ghost shouldn’t be looking at him as if he’s hung the moon. But there’s something about him, something that flutters in his gut and makes him want to learn more about him.
