With Evie being called off to help the Indian Brotherhood, Jacob is now tasked with reforming the London sector of this ancient order. With the counsel unable to provide him support in this endeavour, he has to seek out help from an ex-Assassin hiding out in the city who has a reputation for killing anyone who gets too close and who is also rumoured to be influential in unexplainable ways.
I wrote this old Arno/Jacob fic years ago when I was still on Wattpad. It never got published there, so I tweaked it to make more sense and finished it. There's a whole other Arc to this story that I may also rewrite and complete, but I need some time to get some steam back. This took a hot minute.

Jacob groans, his head pounding with blood loss and pain. The world spins and swims around him, and he can barely focus on what's bringing him pain, let alone whats around him. Something drips onto the floor - hopefully just the ceiling leaking water again, and not something foul smelling and dark leaking from the empty cells and morgue around him. Someone tuts above him, and Jacob strains his eye to look at them.
