Summary

Ava, who works as a bartender in London and is happily married to Beatrice, is shocked when she learns that her great great aunt died and left her a mansion in Spain. But Ava has always been adventurous, so she convinces Beatrice to go and visit the house to see whether they can open a B&B there. Unbeknownst to them, the estate is home to several ghosts, among them Ava's ancestor, Lilith Villaumbrosia. The ghosts do not want a hotel in their home, so they try to haunt Ava and Beatrice to get them to leave. Unfortunately, it goes wrong and Ava falls down the stairs, hitting her head badly. She is clinically dead for a minute and after she gets better, she finds that she can see ghosts.

This was frowned upon by most constellations. Looked down on and sneered at. Seen as well beneath them and Sun Wukong would normally agree with them. That he wasn’t ever going to lower himself to that kind of muck and despair again, that he had earned this peace and power.
But he was also…bored. There was only so much entertainment one could find in the same stories without growing annoyed. He changed streams over and over again in search of something new but most often found them all closed down to focus on the space around him instead. The innate comfort of home had grown suffocating after so many millennia in a way that he loathed. This was supposed to be his resting place for the rest of eternity but he was desperate for more stimulation.
He wanted to get his hands dirty again.
