  Summary

  Rider wasn’t particularly fond of parties. There was the horrible, unnecessary noise: the blaring music and talking people everywhere. And then there was the crushing pressure to socialize the whole time, to make eye contact and pretend there wasn’t something wrong with him.

  Well, Rider had to pretend there wasn’t something wrong with him all the time, but that wasn’t the point. The point was that he didn’t like parties.
