Summary
In which a intelligent high schooler named Sam is moved across the country to attend a new high school, by her controlling parents who see her as nothing but some trophy to display.
On her first day, Sam walked into an alley to take a shortcut home and discovers a mysterious silver ring on the ground near a trash can. When she arrives home and tries the ring on- a bright light appeared along with a tiny little girl who called herself "Kiana" claiming she was a special type of creature called a kwami.
Accepting the offer to become Kiana's holder, she unknowingly has begun a long journey of transcending the future and overcoming each and every shackle that holds her down, as she experiences and recreates the memories of the distant past.
