Summary
An Au where X wasn’t put through 30 years of diagnostic testing. Instead, Light activated X and Wily finished and activated Zero and the Maverick Virus soon after.
At first, everything seemed fine. X was in a routine and he took care of his plants and his siblings.
However, this story doesn’t end happily.

Summary
It was laying there, a lump by the riverbank. Blue was stained black with mold, rust, and oil. A faint beeping came from it, its normally ear piercing ring off beat and sounded more like a broken cry for help.
And then it moved.
A formerly white gloved hand, its metal and wires exposed, synthetic skin long since ripped off, reached out, tugging its limp body out of the water.
The lump had one objective,
Find Zero.
—
In which X isn’t found by Chief R and the Resistance, but Zero was, and X was left to rot for a couple months in a river.
Zero ends up taking X’s place, albeit reluctantly and because he knows it’s what X would have done.

Summary
It seemed like a nightmare. Reploids left and right began falling ill, first it was a cough, and then, the sludge.
X was currently freaking out while hunched over the sink in his dorm. Black, thick, sticky oil like liquid splattered all over. His hands and mouth were covered in black, and he knew what was coming.
All reploids who came down with the Oil Flu ended up the same. Choking on the oil they needed to operate until their systems clogged with it. It was a painful process and no cure had been developed, only a treatment plan that worked too slowly to provide any relief for victims.
Cue in Zero, who wished X told him before the Blue Bomber had to give a briefing to the entirety of the Maverick Hunters
