After spending nearly nine years in sunny Florida, Wendy Torrance is forced to pack up and move with her son to the small town of Derry, Maine. Danny is labeled the "freak" by every popular kid and bully around, constantly caught staring at empty corners or muttering to himself. Even the (unofficial and incomplete) Losers Club looked at him strangely. He couldn't blame them, he'd be weirded out too- at least they didn't have to watch the children of Derry die every time they closed their eyes... Too bad they're stuck with him all Summer.

They’d push through late nights and early mornings with bad coffee and cigarettes, instant ramen and love. The mythical Life After Derry always started the same way: piling all their shit into his car after graduation and kicking up dust with the wheels. No stops until they hit New Hampshire.
Richie has a social worker, now. She’s been in contact with Richie’s aunt in Indiana.

The Boy who works at the library front desk is hands down the most beautiful boy in existence - or so Richie is convinced. Stan insists he should probably just talk to him, but pining from afar is working just fine for Richie, thanks for asking. He's so distracted by Eddie's face that he doesn't realize he's in a wheelchair until he's finally managed to ask him out.
