Summary
This story aims to make Shadow of Mordor fit better into the Tolkien legendarium. As such, there will be no Celebrimbor, wraith powers, or recursive resuscitation from the dead beyond the initial death of Talion. This is my first fully fleshed out fan story, so please leave a comment but please refrain from attacking me for wanting to give these characters the careful story they deserve.

An AU of Shadow of Mordor/War where Celebrimbor never died, and never came into contact with the One Ring.

Talion died at the Black Gates that night with his family. Hirgon was unsuccessful in his attempt to save his wife from the uruks and Lithariel had been captured and sent to Uruk's Hollow to be made an example of to her people and all who dare to stand against Sauron and his armies.

Summary
As a ranger of Gondor, Talion was slaughtered on the Black Gate with everyone he ever loved.
However, Talion did not find peace in death. He was cursed, and resurrected, by a powerful wraith Celebrimbor, who reforged him into an undying spirit of vengeance. With their powers combined they dominated Mordor and forged a new ring to break Sauron himself.
This, however did not come to be. Talion was betrayed by Celebrimbor and Eltariel, refusing to die and instead choosing to become one of the nine, preventing a horrible power from rising with his sacrifice.
After being tortured by the ninth ring, he is finally offered peace of death and given back his feelings that he sacrificed to the shadow wars, including guild. So how was he ever supposed to resist a call for help, even if an unusual one?

Summary
Shadow of Mordor: Elanor, daughter of Talion, longs for freedom from the Black Gate, but when her family is killed, she and her father are all that remain, along with the wraith, Celebrimbor, whom she seems to see other than Talion. Little does she know that her father is already dead. Talion wants revenge for his wife and son, but wants to protect his daughter at all costs.
