Natori Shuuichi never did well in the summer heat. Sixteen, his hair overgrown and nails perpetually stained dark after neurotically practicing calligraphy and suibokuga. He got into a habit of copying the ofuda he found in the warehouse, using trial and error to figure out what they could do.
At most, it was just a hobby, something to pass the time until he was a grown up.
At most, it was an act of rebellion that acknowledged the rot inside of him.I can’t try to ignore it anymore, the most I can do is find a way to be free of it all.

There’s not much that has caught the attention of The Head of The Matoba clan recently, it’s all been but paperwork after paperwork, day after day, the world is as if it has gone still and silent.
-“There is an old rumor that’s been circling among the ayakashi for a while." she says, and after a short, thoughtful, pause, not too sure whether she should continue what she started; "a rumor about that Natsume kid you're so fond of”.Seiji gives in to a sudden spark of curiosity that seemed to appear from thin air when the young boys’ name is brought up.
-”Now what kind of rumor would that be?” he asks, hiding his heavy curiosity.
-”They say his grandmother had a kid with an ayakashi. It’s an old tale though” she lets out with a sigh and adds “quite bold of her, don’t you think?” With slow increasing confidence in her words.
-”Truly. But I wonder, would such a thing even be possible?” he says with doubt in his voice, but yet, he deems it worth testing out.
