Summary
A naughty little drabble.
Ted's gone too long without any kind of female attention and Spike's sporting a seductive French maid's outfit. He's wearing it to amuse the campers and, yes, it'll get a few laughs, but Ted isn't laughing at his pal's saucy attire - he's practically foaming at the mouth!

Summary
There's a rumour going around that Spike has been sneaking out in the middle of the night and meeting with a male camper for a bit of risky fun. Ted doesn't believe it at first, but he sees him leave the chalet with his own eyes. He waits patiently for him to come back, so he can confront him. But he realises it's not anger or disappointment he feels - it's jealousy. Why couldn't Spike have done the sensible thing by choosing someone closer to home?

Summary
"It doesn't matter, because I'm not going to tell a soul. You needn't worry," Peggy maintained, applying a bit of furniture polish and a rag to a nearby table, as somewhat of a distraction to stop her mind from wandering.
A cute little ficlet, in which Peggy learns not to burst into people's chalets without knocking, as she might end up seeing something she shouldn't - and Ted and Spike learn whether Peggy is actually capable of keeping a secret or not.

Summary
The summer of 1960 is passing by too fast. August is already upon Gladys and Jeffrey when they meet up in Colchester. Gladys anticipates more emotional conversations; she certainly has things she wants to discuss.
It is becoming clear, however, that neither of them is ready to ask the biggest questions.

Summary
Jeffrey and Gladys are talking. Now they've started, they can't seem to stop. They'd probably be making good progress with some plans for the future, except that the wider world will not leave them alone.
A bit more loose-end tidying, (mostly) in the epistolary style.

Three weeks have passed since Gladys's unexpected reunion with Jeffrey, and finally they are able to spend more time together. Jeffrey's return to America is on the horizon, however, and recent events will soon require Gladys to make some decisions of her own.
Perhaps it is time for a proper conversation.

Summary
July 1960 has been eventful for Gladys Pugh. She got engaged, experienced an unexpected reunion, got un-engaged. She endured a week-long battle with a villain: a battle she appears to have won. She resigned her position with Maplins…and was persuaded to reconsider.
All this, and she is barely halfway through the month. Perhaps the coming days will offer the chance for her to catch up with herself.
A bit of loose-end tidying, in the epistolary style.

Summary
During the winter break at the end of 1959, Gladys is delighted to receive an unexpected offer from Joe Maplin. She and several colleagues are offered a trip to a luxurious Highland hotel that Maplin is looking to purchase. All she has to do in exchange is work her charms on the investors Maplin has lined up.
Of course, Gladys hopes this might also be an opportunity to reunite with Jeffrey Fairbrother. A romantic Scottish landscape, a hotel that boasts a beautiful Victorian spa, the tantalising prospect of finally – finally – seeing Jeffrey in bathing trunks…
Poor Gladys. She has no idea how complicated things are about to become.
