“I wish that things weren’t so awkward between him and I sometimes,” he murmured, barely loud enough to be audible.
Felix paused, ladle hovering over the pot of noodles. “What do you mean?”
Jisung looked up, surprised that Felix had even heard him, and saw that his soft brown eyes were looking at him with concern.
Jisung dropped his gaze back to the counter, hunching in on himself as he wrung his hands. “I don’t know how to explain it, really. It’s like when we’re alone, everything else just…fades away. Like nothing else exists, you know? And it gets so quiet and awkward and-” He took a sharp breath as he squeezed his eyes shut, knotting his fingers in his hair and tugging slightly in a weak attempt to snap himself back to reality. “The silence- it’s suffocating and I hate it and I hate that I can’t fix it because I don’t even know what’s even happening!”
Jisung is whipped for his best friend, and it suddenly becomes a major problem. What he doesn't know is that his best friend is just as in love as him. Chaos ensues.

“I come with some less than pleasant news,” Mr. Choi surveys the house as he enters, moving to the living room to sit down on the couch. “It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you of your father’s passing.”
Jisung hears the words. He hears the words and they make sense. They process in his mind, he turns them over once, as though he was just told it’d rain later today and he should dress accordingly. He feels a pang of sadness, for the loss of life, but it leaves just as quickly.

Jisung is forced to join an organization his father used to work for with some less than savory tasks at hand, and Minho’s there to show him that maybe not everyone in this place is evil. Until all of a sudden he’s not, and Jisung is alone all over again.
