For the mature FROZEN fans.
It all started with the idea of ‘What if Elsa lost her memories and magical powers?’ and I wrote a little 1700 word long short fic back in May 2020, plus some additional thoughts on it. I was convinced that FROZEN II opened up a lot of possibilities for a third movie, and I planned to write my own FROZEN III sequel. In the end, I never expected to write a 1000 page long novel, and what I also never expected was that while I was writing it, DISNEY finally announced a third and even fourth sequel in 2023, officially confirmed by them at their D23 Expo in August 2024 for November 2027.
The story takes place about a year after the unity scene at the end of Frozen II. It is late summer/early autumn.

A year after the showdown at Mr. Black's facility, all seems well: Elsa and Merida are happy together and Anna and Kristoff have graduated. Peaceful times, however, hardly last. Just a series of 100-word drabbles following Elsa and Maren's relationship progressing. Wrote this at night. Meant for it to be one. Ended up writing way more than that. To be updated when I feel like it, because I have way too many actual works on hand. These are just for fun.

One day you're living a completely ordinary life with your ordinary parents, another they die in an unfortunate car accident. Next thing you know, you're about to start a new life with your estranged older sister you haven't had any contact with in twelve years.
There's only one thing Anna can say: 'It be like that sometimes'.
Elsa doesn't know what the hell she's doing. Okay, sure, taking care of Anna shouldn't be that hard, even if she has to do it while simultaneously working a very risky job. Still, it's going to be a challenge, trying to mend the broken relationship with her sister, especially when said sister begins to meddle in Elsa's strange love life.
Throw in a criminal organisation with a dangerous plan, and the party's started; whatever Anna and Elsa thought was going to happen, it's going to be a wilder ride than they expected.

ANYWAY. In this canon-divergent one shot, the first Frozen movie didn't happen because Elsa was always comfortable with her powers and everyone in Arendelle always knew about them. Anna and Hans still met at Elsa's coronation, but it didn't work out (thankfully). And on the day this story takes place, it's the same Harvest Festival that would open Frozen 2.
