Well, you do the right thing.
When Fen stumbled across a severely hurt villain about to die in an attempted arrest by a hero she does something most wouldn't expect. She intervenes, grabs the villain, and bolts. After nurturing him back to health, she releases him and expects to never, ever see him again.
But then he shows up with a friend, acting totally friendly. And word of this healer spreads. And now he (yes, he, thank you) is making sandwiches for vigilantes along with the homeless and occasional hero.
Fen may or may not also be a Fae. But we ignore that.

Getting kidnapped (cough adopted cough cough) by the familiar's witch was definitely not part of the plan. Becoming a pack head? Well that had never even been in the cards as far as he knew so he sure didn't understand how he was suddenly looking it straight in the face. He had a feeling he was in for a hell of a ride from here.
