He’s hungover, and normally being served coffee by someone at Dunkin who looks like he would rather be in hell. Not this guy. Derek looks at him, the hint of a smile on his face, his curls falling on his forehead, burnt honey eyes patiently looking at Derek, tattoos littered across his forearms.
So obviously what comes out of his mouth is, “Coffee.” Jesus fucking Christ.

His shirt was soaked. The floor beneath them was slick. The air reeked of iron and sweat and death.
“I love you,” Morgan whispered. It wasn’t brave. It wasn’t romantic. It was broken. A confession soaked in blood. “I love you, I love you, I love you—God, please let him hear me—please…”
He didn’t know who he was begging to. God had never done shit for him before. But now? Now he would’ve sold his soul just to hear Spencer mumble some half-sarcastic statistic. Just to hear that voice again.
