In einer fiktiven Welt, die unserer sehr ähnlich ist, leben die Menschen unter der Obhut ein paar gütiger Götter. Allerdings wurden die Menschen immer selbstsüchtiger und gemeiner, nutzten sich immer mehr aus und missachteten die Gebote der Götter. Schließlich wurde es ihnen zu bunt und sie ließen die Welt der Menschen, wie sie sie kannten, untergehen. Einer der wenigen Überlebenden erzählt viele Jahre später, wie er den Weltuntergang erlebt hatte.
