Summary
New walls, old ghosts. Buck is trying to settle into a house that once felt like home, but the silence that follows him is heavier than the boxes he’s unpacking. A fight left words unsaid and distance that keeps stretching. He tells himself he’s fine, that distractions are enough. But some nights are quieter than others; and some silences cut deeper than they should.
Or, Buck kisses Eddie before he leaves for El Paso. Buck struggles, falling into unhealthy coping mechanisms, and Eddie comes back to take care of him. Eventually, they find their way to each other; there’s a proposal, a wedding, and a promise that sticks.
