Summary
Forget ruthless volunteers or unlucky reaps; for Eren Jaeger, getting into the 36th Hunger Games was all about being brutally rigged - a "thanks, Dad!" for his father's betrayal and a "thanks, Zeke!" for his half-brother’s past victory.
His only hope to survive? Levi Ackerman, his cynical mentor whose only advice for Eren is “'don't-get-yourself-killed-you-idiot'. Yet, somewhere under the pageantry of the massacre, a mutual attraction blossoms between the two, and Levi soon realizes that Eren, with a serious axe to grind, might be able to hack his way to victory (he is from District 7, after all!).
