Enj,
It’s okay if you hate me now. I would hate me too— there’s something about this that just feels so cowardly. I couldn’t say any of it to your face. This box has been sitting in my closet for about eight months, and I just couldn’t bring myself to send it. I threw this in at the last minute, obviously (you know me, always procrastinating). I just need you to know that I don’t hate you; I never have, and I never will.
Inside of this letter, you must have found the CD I made you. It’s silly, I know, and definitely a little MySpace of me, but I always loved showing you music, and burning you CDs, and, well, old habits really die hard. I still sometimes find myself reaching for my phone to say goodnight to you. I still find myself wearing your old shirts. I know that I’m the one that did this— not just to myself, but to both of us—, and in all honesty (you know how hard it is for me to be honest with anybody, let alone you; let alone myself), I regret it.Yours, in the ranks of death,

Summary
When Julién Carraway-Enjolras and Cosette-Fay Enjolras were little, their father would always tell them the same thing. Anytime they got upset at something that seemed unfair to them, whenever they didn’t want to do something, it was the same piece of advice.
“Whenever you feel upset, remember that all the people in the world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.” He would say.
When Julién Carraway-Enjolras moves to West Egg, he finds that this is entirely too true.

Summary
“Okay,” Courfeyrac says, leaning closer to Combeferre “I’ve done something, and I didn’t really think it through, and it could be really good but it could also be really bad, and you absolutely cannot tell Enjolras.”
Nothing good has ever followed a sentence like that, especially where Courfeyrac is concerned. Combeferre sighs.
“Let’s hear it.”
“He’s an escort.”
Or,
Courfeyrac hires an escort, R, to help Enjolras get over his ex. It goes about as well as expected.

Summary
If she had just a drop more motivation in her body, Éponine would have been incensed by the finality with which Combeferre spoke; she was just so done with men telling her how the world works when they themselves have absolutely no clue. But he was a good person who meant nothing by it and, in hindsight, she could concede that he’d been nothing but nice to her all night and it wasn’t his fault that everything was pushing her — bit by bit — closer to the edge.
Yeah, it hadn’t been a great week.
Fuck it. It had been a shit year. The fact that it was only April be damned, she thought to herself as she collapsed back into the sofa with a resigned sigh.
OR
Gavroche decides sleeping on a park bench is preferable to sleeping in his parents' house and Ép decides that is the final straw. Featuring queer platonic ép/ferre, found family, and a fake engagement for the real estate portfolio.
This is a part of an ongoing series but, if you're loosey goosey about context feel free to read it as a standalone.

Summary
Suddenly, everything had gone to shit. Grantaire had been distracted— someone had snagged his attention, maybe they were trying to get him to take a picture of them or something, but the next thing he knew, he was hearing screams. A crowd was rushing past him, violent and fervent in their urge to scatter; all Grantaire could see was Enjolras. He reached for him, grabbed his arm, and held on tightly, keeping both of them in place. He tugged at Enjolras’s sleeve, pulling him close, wrapping his arms around him in the way he was allowed only in disasters such as these; Enjolras permitted it, sinking his face into Grantaire’s chest, breathing in the sweat of his t-shirt, finding the things that made Grantaire human— the fast, yet steady, thrum of his heartbeat, the pulsing of his biceps against Enjolras’s skin, all of it. Enjolras held back a shaky sob and looked at Grantaire with something unfamiliar in his eyes: fear. Enjolras had never looked at him with that much fear written all over his face— typically, Enjolras looked at him with disdain, something fierce, but the way he looked at him in that crowd was, to say the least, distressing.

Summary
“Why don’t I walk you home?” Grantaire asked, his green eyes lighting up with something that Enjolras had an intimate knowledge of— the last time he had seen that look in Grantaire’s eyes was the last time he had come to visit— the last time he had seen him— the winter before that. That last December; the December that had, once again, changed something in the chemical makeup of both of their bodies; both of their hearts; the December that put them, somehow, back where they started.
Enjolras couldn’t hem or haw over the decision any longer; if he took too long to think about the offer, everyone would know— it was a miracle that they had managed to keep it a secret for two years, anyway. Though, Enjolras had told Cosette, and Grantaire had told Eponine— so was it even really still a secret?
“Come on,” Grantaire urged. “Seriously, this place has gotten weird ever since you left, we can’t have you walking alone at night, especially now that you’re not a city boy anymore.”
“Fine,” Enjolras huffed, gathering his things to go. “It was great to see all of you tonight,” he managed to get out.(or, the former-fwb-to-lovers one shot inspired by winterbreak and everything by MUNA)

Summary
Paris, July 1830.
Charles X established the Saint-Cloud Ordinances, which, among everything, aimed at setting up a strong censorship. The people, however, could not stand for it, and a few parisian city newspapers decided they wouldn't have succumbed to the king's will, printing and publishing protests against the sovereign, which gradually led to a city-wide riot.Enjolras, a fierce and empathetic young man, followed all these events dearly, until he himself decided he couldn't remain in his estate and observe from afar as the city stirred. So he ended up joining the barricades.

Summary
“Eugène,” said Jean Valjean in barely a murmur. He was untying his cravat. “Reply softly. Have you learned to tie a knot?”
“Yes sir.” The young boy said quietly. He had not yet begun calling the man father. “I tie the horses to their stables.”
“Take your cravat off. Tie the end of it to mine.”
Or; Enjolras and Cosette are siblings in 19th century France. A rewrite of how Valjean got them into the convent.
