Episode 3 in my attempt at writing School Spirits Season 3. If you haven't read my previous works "DEADER THAN EVER" and "HOW TO GET AWAY WITH DYING" you might be missing quite a bit of context.
This one’s packed. We’re peeling back more layers; Arden, Janet, and of course, our lovely protagonist Maddie Nears. Sandra’s arc deepens, Maddie and the gang start connecting more dots, and things are slowly, very slowly, starting to make sense. Maybe. Sort of. There’s lightbulbs flickering, secrets surfacing, and some doors cracking open (or slamming shut). And a whole big Mina feature! Let’s get into it.

Summary
Of all the obstacles and bullshit high school has delivered to him on a rotting, stinking platter, Charley had never imagined it would be a missing art credit that would threaten to derail his whole life. But lucky for him, Ceramics 4 has an open space left for the spring semester. Only problem? He doesn't know the first thing about pottery. But the teacher's willing to waive a few prerequisites to give him a chance to graduate on time, and when she assigns her best student to help him get up to speed, what could have been a disaster becomes a blessing in disguise.
Even if it might take a few years for him to recognize that and make the most of it.

There isn’t much that Charley can say about Split River. It’s a small town miles from the next small town, and the river isn’t really safe to swim in, which has never stopped anyone, and his family have been here for generations and so has their house which is why the ceiling leaks every time it rains, and their yard is all mud and no grass, and there’s mold on the walls they just keep painting over. Anything he has to say could be simplified down to one of two things: Charley hates Split River, and he’ll be stuck there forever.
