That startled a laugh out of him, his heart jumping and fluttering in his chest like an absolute fool at such an absurd notion. ‘Eh? What are you talking about? How drunk are you?’
Feng Xin and Mu Qing make the seven-hour flight to Las Vegas for Shi Qingxuan and He Xuan's (secret) wedding. Mu Qing copes with a severe, newly-discovered phobia of flying by drinking through it. Feng Xin is left to deal with the fallout.

Summary
Just over five years after ascension, Mu Qing's mother dies; Feng Xin only learns this at the Mid-Autumn Banquet, by which something has snapped in the other and he breaks his cultivation. By the end of the night, Feng Xin is forced to carry home a very disliked and drunk Mu Qing. And for the first time ever, the extremely sensitive Mu Qing shows just a slither of vulnerability.

It all started with a spider on the ceiling.
That goddamn spider.
Mu Qing was busy scrolling through social media on his bed, the lamp on his nightstand dully lighting up the surrounding room. Unbeknownst to him, there was an icky arachnid straight above him, freely crawling as it pleased.
Until it fell. Directly on his chest.
“What the fuck?!” He jolted in shock, following another scream that would definitely wake up the entire apartment complex. That didn’t matter though. His life was more important than others getting good sleep.
or: Mu Qing has a spider in his apartment, and refuses to kill it himself and ends up asking Feng Xin. This leads to a further development in their relationship.
