“Well… it’s not the best dress you’ve picked out.” Dodo answers objectively after a few seconds of examining her girlfriend’s full look. It really isn’t the best one.
It also goes unsaid that she actively tries and hopes to eliminate as much dresses in the dreaded pile as she possibly can. It's not being cheap or anything. Dodo had never been cheap at any moment in her whole life. She’s especially never cheap for Dior.

The skies are still dark with the remnants of the night but the chariot of Helios is preparing to break through the Heavens as the beginnings of daylight starts to peek through the horizon.
Dodo wakes in the early morning peace, the stillness of life palpable in the silence of the house. There was only the sound of breathing and the occasional chirping of the crickets that had been present ever since summer rolled around.
“Dodo?” A sleepy murmur reaches her ears.
“I’m here,” Dodo answers, padding over to the bed as the other’s hand darts out from under the covers, seemingly searching for her presence. Once Dodo was within reach, fingers encircled her thin wrist and tugged her lightly, telling her with the same sleep-laced voice, “The sun isn’t out yet, my love. Come back to bed.”

A long time ago, way back in 2020, Cattyk8 posted on June 4th 2020 that a friend had posted a pic and that she would very much love a Logan pining fic with this theme and possibly a soundtrack featuring Dido's White Flag.
The pic is posted in chapter one, so thanks Vlad, whomever you may be, we hope you get your happy ending.
Aurora2020 gave me a little help early on but as it happens 2020 was well you all know. I took some hits and lost my love of writing, today it's coming back to I felt I should take the opportunity to start back with what's been floating in my head for the better part of two years. It's not fully typed out yet, however it fully fleshed out in my head........
