This tale will mix a little with the videogame, Darkwood, as well as including various mythical creatures ( I mean if there's giants, why not unicorns? please feel free to leave comments.

In a grassy meadow overtaken by the night did I awaken. Star nor moon shone naught from above. Every direction I turned, I met the shadowed silhouette of trees.
I was alone, but... I felt like I was being watched.
Something illuminated the land, as if the moon sat in the empty black. A presence unseen was here to grant dull light to this land plagued of darkness.
The earth trembled behind a deep, audible rumble, and beyond the tree tops did a pale light grow like the city lights of Manehatten in the distance. Trembled like mortals to their fears.
The land was otherwise silent.
The light ascended like a dome from the horizon, riddled with lines and spots of grey. It soon revealed to be the moon, massive in size. Bigger than it should have been.
The land that held the forest around me fell away into a darkness I was not familiar, taking the trees with it just as the bottom of the moon lifted itself from the skyline.
The craters cracked like blackened scars - peeling away like scabs - and in the center of each affliction was a pale blue glow. The scars widened, revealing more blue trapped in a realm of black.

He paused and swore under his breath. Why was he even here? There was a slim chance he could make it to the hideout before he croaked. Emphasis on slim, though. His head rose from the bloody sink, and before he could even start picking apart his weathered appearance, a figure stood right behind him in the mirror.
The stranger’s heart caught in his throat, and he turned around immediately, shining his flashlight at whoever this was. It was much to his relief that it was just the trader there. He let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.

The stranger finds his normal again, this time in this cursed deserted forest. But he's fine with that.

Однажды после очередного прохождения дарквуда мне стало крайне грустно, и я решила написать этот фанфик. Тут я постараюсь дать каждому персонажу лучшую концовку и постараться просто сделать что-то, что можно считать лучшей концовкой. Я знаю что авторы задумали игру так, что каждая концовка должна быть плохой и безнадёжной, и мне она нравится, но хэй это же фанфик! Значит у нас будут отсылки на игровые механики, даже если это из альфа-версии или из беты, отсылки на свое прохождение и информацию из артбука и трейлеров. Да я нёрд на теме видеоигр и это моё любовное письмо сей прекрасной игре.
Если совсем кратко "Дарквуд: тамблер эдишн где все живы и счастливы" потому что я не нашла подходящий фанфик на эту тему и пишу его сама.
Ну и спасибо моему другу Неро, который редактировал этот фанфик и исправлял мои ошибки)

Darkwood if it was peak.
A love story between multiple characters found in the game, following the story of the original game. The Stranger is more reactive and would mimic more than what the gameplay offers, plus characters do have more interactions between them. Made by Puppetz, Sundown would probably hate this mid.This is not a perfect retelling of the game; many of the events present in the fic will be head-canons and sometimes elaborate ideas in order to expand the relationships between the protagonists of the story. Not everything happens this way in the game.
Certain actions are never done by "The Stranger", "Wolfman", "The Trader", etc. This is meant to be a retelling of the story in a collaborative effort to push through Darkwood. As such, it will be much more lighthearted. However, heavy themes will still be included.
