And what will the light side of the Force truly mean for Obi-Wan? The destinies of these two Jedi are now intertwined, and their future remains to be seen.

Inspired by the Guardianship of the Jedis series by yakuit, this short story explores an alternate Darion Helion.
In this timeline, Jango Fett is the last Sentinel in existence until his clones all manifest as Sentinels. Then he discovers that Obi-wan Kenobi is a Guide, and later on that all Jedi are Guides.
Thus many things are averted: Jango’s death, the rise of Darth Sidious and the deaths of many Jedi.
In this timeline: Casairi was never bombed by the Empire. The Order of the Knight’s Watch survives in hiding, taking in other fugitive Jedi while their Knight Operatives remain out in the galaxy to help others escape Imperiial custody.
But among them, Darion Helion has become a very different man. In one timeline he was a smuggler and mercenary until the Force called him back.
Now…he is a ruthless hunter of Sentinels.

A prequel to Jedi Survivors.
Aria Bade. A Partisan, working alongside Saw Gererra to help fight the Empire. Cal Kestis. A scrapper, working alongside Cere Junda, Greez Dritus, and BD-1 to rebuild something both of them thought was lost forever. When their paths cross on Kashyyyk, they both align their goals. But the Empire is a constant roadblock; and so are the darker tendencies Aria developed over the years in exile.
(I tagged the Merrin/Aria relationship, though I will clarify, it is not the main focus of the story. They don't even get together, it's mostly just flirting.)
