Somewhere in the recesses of his mind, he thought it would be perfect irony if he just keeled over dead from a broken heart, it sounded fairly appropriate given what had just happened.
He was so lost in his thoughts and his pains that he hardly even noticed the sound of the courtroom doors slamming open.
