Summary
The fields of Eia burn bright with the gold of the setting sun, roses climb the legendary Tower Gardens, and the bright bells cry out the times of worship to the blessed Tey Fiu, spring giver. Cloistered away in a small courtyard, that almighty immortal takes on her incarnated form in Natalia Karenzin, born to walk the world and be worshipped as a living symbol of the nature immortal's benevolence and dedication to mankind. But threads pull at the back of Natalia's mind, like a tapestry half unwoven, she feels herself slipping from the influence of the immortal, almost as if there was something she had to do, but has long forgotten. But that doesn't matter now, for she and the young prince Felix have been bargained off in a trade deal with the far north of Dar Fen. The journey is long and they are unlikely to ever return, but, bound by their duties to religion and country, they find themselves wondering if they were ever even on the path they thought was right for them.
