Each university student sat in that familiar agreement, so in turn, the class let out quietly as usual. Marinette packed light, so with her notebook closed and pens stacked in her case, she walked out of class. Tikki sat asleep in her pack, undisturbed by the shifting.
It was when she made her way to a coffee shop that she had been meaning to try that something struck her. Not inspiration, but a person.
She knew the face well. How could she not? It was in every slideshow her design professor hurried through. No, not his teen heartthrob face. The one Adrian had grown into. The man himself took a step back and centered himself.“It's good to see you.” She could feel his eyes, despite avoiding them.
The small tension she had unwillingly raised dissipated, just her and an old classmate.

The Wish made with the power of the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses is dangerous, hard to predict and extremely powerful. Once Gimmi the Kwami of Reality is summoned; you have to be extremely careful as an offhand comment can lead to the Wish being made without it being made to.
After a scheme to get Marinette and Lila to get along fails spectacularly; Alya, Nino and Lila finds Adrien near where the end of the latest Akuma battle happened. They talk and Adrien should have watched what he said with the summoned Gummi hidden nearby...

Marinette looked down at her feet, watching as Felix turned around to face her. “I hate that I always give up before I start things. That I think so much it convinces me to never try again. I want to change.” She paused, “I want to be able to make that change.”
(Basically just my own interpretation of how the original story would be based on the PV. Fair warning I've only watched up to 4 seasons of MLB because It got too confusing to continue, so I won't be adding anything from the later seasons. A lot of this is going to be me taking my own creative liberties on the material. The title is from the song "If I were." by Vashti Bunyan.)

Marinette has always been physically weak, constant trips to the hospital have been the norm for her since she was very little. Her lungs have had issues with taking in enough since birth and her legs have completely paralysed from the waist down since she was age ten with seemingly no causing factor.
